A classic book for couples about to marry, couples already married, and the clergy and congregations that support them.
In this updated edition, Linda Grenz and Delbert Glover address the trials and tribulations of marriage. As committed Christians writing for both engaged and married couples and the clergy who offer spiritual and practical guidance to them, Delbert uses his experience as a former corporate executive and Linda as an Episcopal priest to invite readers to discuss the important aspects of marriage. The new material is inclusive and offers a framework for discussion in subjects such as extended family, financial matters, fighting fair, and sexual intimacy, as well as insights gained from their own marriage of over thirty years. The Marriage Journey can be used:
•By clergy and lay ministers to help couples prepare for the sacrament of marriage.
•To encourage couples to consider their values and expectations as they think about embarking on a life together.
•To help married couples deepen their relationship.
•And to provide congregations with practical ways to strengthen and uphold couples in their communities.
In this comprehensive resource, clergy members, couples, and congregations will find enriching and nourishing practical and spiritual advice.
