• An easily accessible, theologically progressive, mainline Christian Ed resource on human sexuality
• A High School program resource to engage youth in connecting faith and sexuality in grades 9-12

Our inherent value and worth comes from God's love for us, but our modern world is filled with sexual expression that too often leads us away from the life of Christ. As Christians seeking to live a life worthy of our calling and desiring to pass along these values to our children and youth, these books (Leader Guide, Parent Book, Participant) offer session plans with activities for High School students to explore issues of sexuality in the context of our faith, building on the foundational book of the same name and as part of the TAOB program resource.

This sexuality education resource from a mainline/progressive denominational prospective aids the teacher/parent/participant in learning and using skills that enable them to embrace and affirm the wholeness of sexuality and to talk openly and honestly about the connection of their sexuality and their faith. Session plans will address facts about sexuality, vocabulary, decision making, faith and daily life, respect, growth and change, behavior, responsibility, values, prayer, and intentionality in an age appropriate manner for young people 15- to 18-years-old.

Samantha Haycock is the Episcopal lay chaplain to the University of Arkansas and coordinates young adult ministries with St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and has a passion for spreading Jesus’ call for social justice. Previously the Director of Children and Youth Ministry at Christ Church, Alameda, California, she has been involved in diocesan sponsored youth events over the past decade, including summer camps, Happening, and the triennial Episcopal Youth Event. Samantha helps people to make connections between their daily and spiritual lives so that they can bring their whole and authentic selves to the world. She also enjoys concocting strange things in her kitchen and hiking all over the place.

Caren Miles is the Associate for Discipleship Ministries in the Diocese of California, previously having served in congregations in the Diocese of Dallas, New York, and California with children and youth. She ran the Children's Program at General Convention in 2012 and 2015. She has a BA in Political Science from the University of North Texas and over 15 years of life lessons learned in ministry helping children and youth find their identities as beloved children of God. Caren loves that her job ranges from sitting on the floor to read Bible stories with preschoolers to sitting in a coffee shop waxing theological with teenagers to helping adults find the best ways to work with all ages. She also enjoys spending time in the kitchen, but prefers if someone else does the dishes.
